International Sanskrit Examination Resource

About the ISER Society

The International Sanskrit Examinations Resource Society (ISER) has been set up by friends of St James Schools, London, ('Sanskrit@St James'), in order to support the provision of public Sanskrit examinations worldwide. The background administration required to make these examinations available is very much a labour of love however this Society exists to help allay any additional financial pressures which necessarily arise in relation to such an undertaking.

Resources which have been developed over many years of Sanskrit teaching and which can assist in the preparation for the CIE examinations, have been made available to all interested students worldwide through this website.  Prompt, helpful advice is also supplied free through the contact facility.

If you are interested in the work of the Society, please download a membership form.

Members are invited to an Annual Sanskrit Speech Competition and other associated events, as well as receiving the Society's annual Review magazine, with its articles on Sanskrit, and even a Sanskrit crossword or Sudoku!

About St James Schools, London

St James Schools http://www.stjamesschools.co.uk provide independent Junior and Senior education and have made the teaching of Sanskrit available as part of the curriculum. Many of the pupils continue on to sit public Sanskrit examinations at ages 16, 17 and 18 years.

Study material developed for the pupils has also been kindly shared as a resource for the teaching of candidates outside St James who have wished to further their own studies as well as to support the availability of Sanskrit examinations.
