International Sanskrit Examination Resource

Why Cambridge Sanskrit IGCSE®

The Cambridge examinations provide for students attracted to an intellectual challenge and who are curious to uncover timeless wisdom for themselves rather than simply rely on translations.

The syllabus provides a rare opportunity to study Sanskrit grammar enriched with philosophical, moral and cultural content: Bhagavad Gita and Hitopadesha extracts in the original language as well as a course outlining traditional understanding behind epic literature.

Cambridge qualifications are valid towards university admission in India and world-wide.

The Cambridge Sanskrit IGCSE® examination is held in May/June each year.  There is one examination of two papers covering all levels of ability. It is a written examination.

These examinations are available to all Cambridge schools world-wide.
